126. It's Yaum-ul-Jummah Today

Alhamdulillah It's Yaum-ul-Jummah today, The BEST day of the week.

Alhamdulillah, It has been our weekly routine to read the beautiful Surah Al-Kahf every Friday. There are some very important lessons we need to take back from the Surah.

The surah revolves around 4 different stories. It may seem that none of these stories are related to one another, but we see that the purpose of all these stories are one: TRIALS

This surah explains Trials in different aspects of life.
1) Trial of Religion (Story of the People of the Cave)
2) Trial of Wealth (Story of the Man with Two Gardens)
3) Trial of Knowledge (Story of Mus aalayhi wa sallam and Khidr alayhi wa sallam)
4) Trial of Power (Dhul Qarnain)

Each of these stories outline how each of these 4 things can bring us Trials. It also outlines how the believer should approach these trials and tribulations.

Trial of Religion (Story of the People of the Cave)

“And keep yourself patiently with those who call on their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His Face, and let not your eyes overlook them, desiring the pomp and glitter of the life of the world; and obey not him whose heart We have made heedless of Our Remembrance, one who follows his own lusts and whose affair (deeds) has been lost.”
(Surah Al-Kahf: Aayat No 28)

So if you are faced with trials because of your religion, the solution is to Be PATIENT, to be in the company of the righteous and build a connection with Allah Subhanahu wa taala through His remembrance. This will give you strength to persevere In Shaa Allah.

Don't be fascinated with the pleasures of the world. They are all temporary. Whats to remain is your relationship with Allah Subhanahu wa taala

Make it a routine to indulge yourself in Dhikr; Morning & Evening just for sometime. Even if it's just for 10 mins. Alhamdulillah we're blessed with 24 hrs a day. Removing 20 mins shouldn't be difficult. In Shaa Allah you'll find a remarkable difference in your life and your connection with your Rabb.

Let us learn about the 2nd trial in Surah Al-Kahf

The Trial of Wealth (Story of the Men and Two Gardens)

2) Fitnah of Wealth

“Wealth and children are the adornment of the life of this world. But the good righteous deeds that last, are better with your Lord for rewards and better in respect of hope.”
(Surah Al-Kahf: Aayat No 46)

So the way to deal with the trials of wealth is to realize the reality of this worldly life. It is temporary, while the hereafter is everlasting. Everything that's ours here we are going to leave and go. Except for our righteous deeds In Shaa Allah.

Deeds that are done solely for the purpose of pleasing our Creator and not His creation.

Allah Subhanahu wa taala says:
إِنَّمَأ أَمْوَلُكُمْ وَأَوْلَـدُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ وَاللَّهُ عِنْدَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ

"Your wealth and your children are only a trial, whereas Allah! With Him is a great reward (Paradise)."(64:15)

We should strive to make the money that we possess and the children that Allah Subhanahu wa taala has blessed us with; a Sadqa-e-Jaria for us in Duniya & in the Aakhirah.

During this global pandemic; Alhamdulillah we have such a brilliant opportunity to do so many righteous deeds by lending some part of our wealth or do some good deed to benefit others during these times of difficulty.

Utilise your wealth in the right cause. Give your Zakaat and purify your wealth. And remember, Allah Subhanahu wa taala says that He gives more to the ones who give others and He also gives more to the ones who are grateful for what they have.

Alhamdulillah we're blessed far more than we can imagine. It's the bounty and grace of our Rabb. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. Remember everything that you have is from Him alone.

So when Allah Blesses you, you bless others and InShaAllah you'll see how He, Your Rabb will bless you in abundance.

Let us learn about the 3rd trial in Surah Al-Kahf

The Trial of Knowledge (Story of Musa alayhi wa sallam and Khidr alayhi wa sallam)

3) Fitnah of Knowledge

“If Allah wills, you will find me patient, and I will not disobey you in aught.” (Surah Al-Kahf: Aayat No 64)

The way to deal with this trial is to remain humble and not to let your knowledge delude you.

Remember, Know & Understand that Allah Subhanahu wa taala is Al-Khabeer(The all knowing) of the seen and the unseen.

Everything that happens is for a good reason, We might not be able to see it but we should learn to trust it.

And Indeed Sabr teaches us great lessons. Sabr & Smile are the best alternatives and Patience & Prayer are the best tools of a believer in this life

The Trial of Power (Dhul Qarnain))

️4) Fitnah of Power

“Say: ‘Shall We tell you the greatest losers in respect of (their) deeds? Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life while they thought that they were acquiring good by their deeds!” (Surah Al-Kahf: Aayat No 103-104)

So the way to deal with the Fitnah of power is to have sincerity in your deeds to Allah. Do it for Him alone. And Expect a reward from Him alone.

Be humble and kind in all your doings. Fear from the displeasure of breaking hearts and hurting others.

When in power, let your politeness speak and not your arrogance. Always remember that Allah loves those who are kind, gentle and compassionate towards others.

Be gentle in your behavior towards others. Don't boost your acquisitions. Don't humiliate. Be kind and compassionate in character.

Let you, a Muslim be known by his character and that's where the beauty of Islam will showcase

"The BEST of you, is the one who has the BEST of character" Al-Bukhari

Ending of the Surah: This Surah ends with the most perfect way to deal with all types of trials, and that is to remember the hereafter and your Rabb and stay away from shirk.

“So whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord.” (Surah Al-Kahf: Aayat No 110)

!! Something to definitely reflect when we read it every Friday. The surah is filled with wisdoms and the best is when we reflect and ponder upon them to take back and implement what Allah Subhanahu wa taala is telling us.

May Allah Subhanahu wa taala help us reflect and ponder upon this beautiful Surah every Friday, Help us implement on its wisdom.
May Allah help us to be kind and compassionate towards others.
May He grant us the BEST character and be pleased with all of us..
May all the worries of the Ummah fade away.
May Allah Subhanahu wa taala help us remain patient at every step in life.
May He relieve us all from this pandemic soon.
May He allow us to enter the Blessed month of Ramadan with Khushoo.
May He bless you, your families and the entire Ummah with good health, peace, goodness, prosperity and happiness with Aafiyat & Barakat,
May all your duas be answered & May we all have a blessed day.
May Allah Subhanahu wa taala make it easy and help us indulge in His Dhikr.
May Allah Subhanahu wa taala accept our zakaat/charity.

 Aameen Ya Rabbul Aalameen
