53. Days And Night Are Shifting Like Wind

Days and nights are shifting like the wind. Ramadhan came and wisped away like a cool breeze, and another is soon upon us. Sadly, many are still oblivious of the fact that our time is running out.

The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam   mentioned:
"The Hour will not begin until knowledge is taken away, earthquakes increase, time passes quickly, tribulations appear, and there is a lot of haraj, which is killings.."(Al-Bukhari 1036).

Additionally, "The Hour will not begin until time passes quickly, so a year will be like a month, and a month will be like a week, and a week will be like a day, and a day will be like an hour, and an hour will be like the burning of a braid of palm leaves" (Musnad Ahmad 10560).

The metaphorical meaning of time passing quickly is that barakah (blessing) will disappear from it. And this is already happening.

Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) said, the fact of the matter is that what it means is that barakah will disappear from everything, even from time. That is one of the signs that the Hour is at hand.

And literally, days and nights are going very fast. People are not benefiting from time like the earlier generations; where so many studied the deen, practiced it and did their best to spread it.

Nowadays many are lost on the Internet, worldly preoccupations and dreams that take them even further away. And the consequence of this is the departure of the Remembrance of Allah!.

So take care of your time, we have very little of it. Make the most of it in terms of learning the Deen and putting into practice what you learn. The days are moving very fast and the closer we draw to our graves.

During the end of times the days will become shorter in real time to the extent the believers will have to estimate the times of prayer. -Ibrahimeen.
