44. Say The Takbeeraat, Magnify Allaah And Thank Him

By Asma bint Shameem

Alhamdulillaah that He enabled us to complete the month of Ramadhaan and witness the blessing of Eid.
*“All Praise by to Allaah by Whose blessing, good things happen.”*

Saying the takbeeraat on the day of Eid is one of the greatest ways to *worship Allaah* and *thank* Him.

It is also one of the *greatest Sunnahs* of Eid.

And it’s *Allaah’s Order.*

Allaah says:
"(He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must *magnify Allaah* [i.e. to say Takbeer (Allaahu Akbar) for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him" [al-Baqarah:185]

The TIME for the Takbeeraat is *NOW from the time of Maghrib when the moon was sighted, until the beginning of the Eid prayer.*

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen said:
The time for takbeer begins when it is proven that the new moon of Shawwaal has been sighted or thirty days of Ramadhaan have been completed. And it ends when the Eid prayer begins.”
(Majmoo' Fataawa16/269-272)

Brothers should raise their voices reciting this dhikr wherever they may be, but sisters should say it softly, without raising their voices.

So GLORIFY your Rabb, and MAGNIFY His Praise and EXALT His Name as MUCH as you can.

Sitting, walking, eating, driving, working, cleaning, cooking....
Keep saying it.
Don’t stop until the Eid prayer begins.
How can we thank you, Yaa Allaah, for the blessings You bestowed upon us of Ramadhaan...!
of Islaam...!
of Imaan...!

How can we show you that we are *grateful* except by Glorifying You, Yaa Rabb, and Exalting Your Mention?

All Praise is for You, Yaa Kareem, Yaa Rabb al-Aalameen, for giving us this chance to worship You and ask for Your forgiveness and have our sins forgiven!
“Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most Great, there is no god except Allaah, Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most Great, and all praise be to Allaah”

“Allaah is most Great, much praise be to Allaah and glory be to Allaah at the beginning and end of the day. Allaah is most Great and we worship none but Allaah, and we make our worship purely for Him (alone) however much the disbelievers may hate that.

There is no god but Allaah alone; He fulfilled His promise and granted victory to His slave and defeated the Confederates alone.

There is no God but Allaah and Allaah is most Great.”
Allaahu Akbar!

EID MUBARAK everybody!

May Allaah accept all your ibaadaat, your duaas, your Istighfaar, your sadaqaat, your sincerity. Ameen.
