If Allaah is pleased with a person, there’s NOTHING MORE that a person would want.
May Allaah make us amongst those whom He’s pleased with. Ameen.
Some of the signs are
1. If Allaah loves you....
Allaah’s help and support will be with you. And He will be with you in everything you do.
Proof:
The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:
“Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala said:
“I will declare war against him who treats with hostility a pious worshipper of Mine.
And the most beloved thing with which My slave comes nearer to Me, is what I have enjoined upon him; and My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing voluntary acts until I love him, (so much so that) I become his hearing with which he hears, and his sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he strikes, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks Me something, I will surely give him, and if he seeks My Protection (refuge), I will surely protect him”.
(Al-Bukhaari)
2. If Allaah loves you....
People will HONOR you and LOVE you.
Proof:
Allaah says:
“When Allaah loves a slave, He calls out to Jibril and says: `I love so-and-so; so love him’. Then Jibril loves him. After that he (Jibril) announces to the inhabitants of heavens that Allaah loves so-and-so; so love him; and the inhabitants of the heavens (the angels) also love him and then make people on earth love him”.
(Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
3. If Allaah loves you....
You will be put through TESTS and TRIALS
Proof:
The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:
“The greatest reward comes from the greatest trial.
When Allaah loves people, He tests them, and whoever accepts it gains the pleasure of Allaah and whoever complains earns His Wrath.”
(al-Tirmidhi, Ibn Maajah- saheeh by al-Albaani).
The greater the love, the greater the test.
Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqaas radhi Allaahu anhu said:
I said: “O Messenger of Allaah, which of the people are most sorely tested?”
He said: “The Prophets, then the next best and the next best. A man will be tested in accordance with his level of religious commitment. If his religious commitment is strong, he will be tested more severely, and if his religious commitment is weak, he will be tested in accordance with his religious commitment.
Calamity will keep befalling a person until he walks on the earth with no sin on him.” (at-Tirmidhi-saheeh by al-Albaani)
4. If Allaah loves you....
You will be purified of your mistakes in the dunya instead of in the Aakhirah.
Proof:
The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:
“When Allaah wills good for His slave, He hastens his punishment in this world, and when He wills bad for His slave, He withholds his sins until he comes with them on the Day of Resurrection.”
(al-Tirmidhi -saheeh by al-Albaani).
5. If Allaah loves you....
Allaah will increase you in knowledge of the Deen.
Proof:
The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:
“If Allaah wills to do good to a person, He makes them comprehend the Deen ‘religion’.” (al-Bukhaari, Muslim)
6. If Allaah loves you....
He give you the ability to distinguish between right and wrong.
Proof:
Allaah says:
“O you who believe! If you obey and fear Allaah, He will grant you ‘Furqaan’ (a criterion to judge between right and wrong)...”
(Surah al-Anfaal:29)
7. If Allaah loves you....
Allaah will give you tawfeeq (the ability and chance) to do good deeds and then increase you in them.
Proof:
Allaah says:
“While as for those who accept guidance, He increases their guidance, and bestows on them their piety.” (Surah Muhammad: 17)
Ibn Rajab said, “Whomsoever Allaah loves, will be given love for Allaah, being obedient to Him, and busying himself in His remembrance and servitude, and this will draw him closer to Allaah”
8. If Allaah loves you....
Allaah will take your soul while you’re doing a good deed.
Proof:
The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:
“When Allaah wills good for His slave, He sweetens him.”
He was asked, “What is this sweetening?”
He said, “Allaah guides him to do righteous deeds before he dies, then He takes (his soul) whilst he is in that state.” (Ahmad -saheeh by al-Albaani)
9. If Allaah loves you....
He will provide you with good companionship.
Proof:
The Righteous Salaf used to say:
“If a person of the Sunnah is granted tawfeeq, then the biggest blessing that Allaah bestows on him is to give him tawfeeq in finding (another) companion of the Sunnah who takes him by the hand and leads him to the Truth.
A beautiful example is Khaythamah ibn Abi Sabra who said:
“I came to Madinah and I asked Allaah to facilitate for me in finding a righteous companion, so He facilitated for me Abu Hurayrah (radhi Allaahu anhu). I sat with him and said: Indeed I asked Allaah to facilitate for me righteous companionship so I was granted tawfeeq...” (at-Tirmidhi)
These are the some of the signs that point to Allaah’s love for His slave, but despite that no one can be 100% certain that a specific person is loved by Allaah or they are someone ‘special’ in the sight of Allaah.
Keep striving in doing good.
Keep making duaa.
Keep yourself humble.
May Allaah make us among those who love Allaah and who are loved by Allaah. Ameen.
(Saheeh at-Tirmidhi)
