Jabal ar-Rahmah [the Mount of Mercy] is the historical hill
situated in the centre of the plain of 'Arafat.
The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam supplicated while standing by the side of the hill.
Nowadays many people climb the hill, considering it an act of piety; however, the Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam did not climbed this hill, and there is no evidence to support it as being a pious act.
