Visiting the city of
Madinah is not a devotional rite of Hajj and it has nothing to do with Hajj.

For the
Messenger of Allah salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said :
" A prayer in my
Masjid is better than 1000 offered in any other except for Al-Masjid Al-Haram"
Since there is no
specific supplication recorded in the sunnah to be said upon entering the
Prophets mosque, the visitor should offer the usual supplication which is said
upon entering any mosque:
Bismillaahi, wassalaatu. Wassalaamuu 'aala Rasoolillaahi. Allahumma- Maftahle 'abwaaba rahmatik.
" In the
name of Allah. Blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah, O Allah open
to me the doors of your Mercy"
