59. Spending The Night At Mina

Every pilgrim should return to Mina after tawaf al-ifadah on the same day and stay in Mina until the 12th for the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah, performing rami each day.

The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam permitted only the shepherds and those who served water to stay in Makkah during the night.

The three days of ayyam at-tashreeq are days of worship. Thus, every pilgrim should repeat, "Allahu Akbar" and other words of remembrance throughout this period.

For the Messenger of Allah salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:
"The days of tashreeq are the days of rejoicing and remembering Allah".

And Allah in the Quran:

Waz-kurullaaha fii 'ayyaa- mim- ma'-duudat. Faman-ta-'ajjala fii yawmayni falaa 'isma alayh. wa man -ta-'akh khara falaa 'isma alayhi li-manittaqaa.

"And remember Allah during appointed days. Then whoever hastens [his departures] in  two days- there is no blame upon him; and whoever delays [until the third]- there is no blame upon him who fears [Allah]."
